We would like to invite you to join us on our 2013 Highlights of Ireland tour, taking place from May 17th, 2013 (departure from USA or Canada) to May 26h, 2013. This 8 night tour is fully accessible for those participants with mobility problems or slow walkers; and also is perfect for those wishing to see Ireland in a relaxed fashion with a small group of people.
The tour begins at Dublin airport upon your arrival on the morning of your arrival, and then continues on to Galway; Limerick; Tralee (from where you will do the spectacular Ring of Kerry), Cork and the town of Cobh, formerly called Queenstown and the last stop of many immigrants leaving to start a new life in America and the last stop of the Titanic before its ill-fated journey. We finish up with two nights back in Dublin, and a thoroughly entertaining dinner and show with fantastic Irish music and dance.
In-between, you will have lunch at a thatched Irish farmhouse; visit Connemara; see the spectacular Cliffs of Moher; visit St. John's Castle and also Bunratty Folk Park, as well as so much more. There will be free time including for shopping or independent sightseeing in Dublin, and pre or post tour extensions in Dublin or other parts of the UK can be arranged if you wish.
The tour includes accommodations at accessible 4* hotels, transportation on a luxury, fully accessible coach; full Irish breakfast daily; dinner on four evenings as well as a dinner show in Dublin, and the services of a wonderful Irish driver guide who will be with you throughout the tour. The price is $3195.00 per person double occupancy, land only (based on a minimum of 10 participants) . Join Undiscovered Britain & Ireland on an exclusive tour through Ireland, staying at luxurious five-star hotels throughout the tour, with some special delights along the way.
Our tour begins in Dublin, where you will spend two nights at The Merrion Hotel, in the heart of Dublin?s loveliest area. You will have a wonderful city tour; with visits to Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse. A day trip to Co. Wicklow, visiting Powerscourt House & Gardens and Glendalough awaits the next day.
The following days include visits to the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens; Kilkenny and its castle, and a tour of the Middleton Whiskey Distillery. In Cork you will stay at another gorgeous five star hotel, before heading to Co. Kerry.
A tour of the Ring of Kerry, following by a traditional afternoon tea in a five-star hotel in Kenmare awaits, as well as Killarney National Park, and a guided tour of Muckross House and Gardens in Killarney. Other delights include visits to the Cliffs of Moher; the Atlantic Edge exhibit, afternoon tea and a demonstration of sheepdogs at work at a real Irish Farmhouse, and a guided tour of Bunratty Folk Park, with a splendid banquet and entertainment on your final night in Ireland. You will either spend spend your last two nights at the magnificent Dromoland Castle in deluxe rooms overlooking the grounds, convenient to Shannon airport for your departure; or head back to Dublin if you are flying home from there, for some extra time exploring this fabulous city while staying in a very special hotel.
All transportation will be on a luxury motor coach.
